The Story of Us
Caleb and I have been married for 11 years. We started dating in high school after being set up on a blind date. After years of trying to get pregnant with no luck, we have decided that adoption is the path we need to travel inorder to have the family we are meant to have. We have thought about our future family and the path we are on takes us to Ethiopia to a handsome baby boy. This handsome little man is now home and we are soaking it all in.

06/16/2009 - Requested paperwork from BFAS.
08/06/2009 - We had a phone interview with BFAS.
08/10/2009 - We received our acceptance email.
10/16/2009 - Home study visit completed
10/20/2009 - Kacee's employment letter completed
10/22/2009 - We got our police clearance letters done.
10/25/09 - Caleb's employment letter completed.
10/27/09 - Dr. visits for our physicals
12/10/09 - Got the last friend letter needed to complete the home study.
12/12/09 - Mailed off final paperwork for the home study
01/22/10 - Mailed in our Dossier to BFAS
08/06/2009 - We had a phone interview with BFAS.
08/10/2009 - We received our acceptance email.
10/16/2009 - Home study visit completed

4/22/10 - Called BFAS to check in
6/10/10 - We went to have our finger prints done
6/22/10 - Emailed BFAS just to check in
7/7/10 - Received referral :)
7/12/10 - Filed for court
8/23/10 - Received our court date...11/26/10 YiPpEe
9/1/10 - Received an update on our little guy from BFAS. A little longer and a little lighter.
9/2/10 - Another update on our little guy :(
9/3/10 - Airfare booked for our first trip to Ethiopia
9/7/10 - We received a new picture of our little guy.
9/10/10 - Some shots done...ouch
9/25/10 - Shots still to come..poor husband
10/14/10 - A non update Update
10/15/10 - More shots for both of us
10/26/10 - Mailed in Visa Application
10/30/10 - Last set of shots for both of us :)
11/3/10 - Conference call with BFAS and other families traveling with us.
11/12/10 - Our visa's and passports came in the mail.
11/17/10 - Start our travel...here we come.
11/20/10 - We received an updated picture and measurements
11/26/10 - We had court - didn't pass. Waiting on MOWA
12/15/10 - We passed court :)
1/7/11 - Court decree received by Ethiopia BFAS office.
1/25/11 - We received an email with a copy of our court decree
3/3/11 - We sent our I-600 form to Ethiopia
3/16/11 - Our paperwork was sent to the US Embassy
5/5/11 - Changed to a new agency. Now with Buckner
7/20/11 - We received a small update on our guy.
7/29/11 - Buckner received our final MOWA letter. :)
8/2/11 - We received a copy of his birth certificate.
8/12/11 - Our guys passport and last medical check up are done.
8/16/11 - We received a new picture...oh man is he cute.
8/23/11 - Our paperwork is at the US Embassy
8/30/11 - We received an updated I-171H form
9/9/11 - Finger prints expired. We are waiting for new appointments
10/6/11 - USCIS re-finger print for me
10/7/11 - USCIS re-finger print for Caleb
10/18/11 - BM interview / Cleared to travel
10/21/11 - Fly to Ethiopia to get our son.
10/25/11 - Embassy apt & GOTCHA Day
10/30/11 - Home as a family of 3 :)
